Re: shipping?

See my answer to 66SIX on the same subject- http://www.uship.com You should be able to do a lot better than $600 if you are a bit flexible on schedule. I have not paid more than $200 to ship a bike from as far as Michigan to New Mexico. Ever had any problems? The way I understand Uship is that anyo...

Re: How Do You Ship a Scooter ?

www.uship.com You list your shipment (what, from where to where) and independant transporters bid on the shipment (it is free). You can set a price range and there is also a "ship it now" option where you set an absolute price and the first shipper to agree to that price gets the shipment....

Re: Blasphemy- CH250 Motor into Elite 50

Mousewheels, I apologize for the thread drama. I attempted to keep my criticism of Bear's disrespectful behavior tied to the subject of the thread to keep at least some value. As I stated in the thread, I now find a certain members comments/attitudes don't add any value to the subject matter and wil...

Re: Why did I waste all those years in Michigan!

I honestly ask myself that question every winter. I don't understand why people want to live in that kind of climate. Some people really love winter I guess. Just because you were born somewhere does not mean you have to be in love with the place. I never did understand why people feel that way. I w...

1990 Elite 250 on CL

Someone should jump on this!

http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/mcy/1943717872.html

Very rare Elite 250 body style. Huge underseat storage. I have one and it is an awesome machine. Pretty quick around town will do 70mph.

Re: Blasphemy- CH250 Motor into Elite 50

Back to topic guys, I think I'm going to give mounting the motor a shot. If I can accomplish that without having to modify the elite frame and without losing the storage space it would be a really fun bike. I love the small nimbleness of the Elite 50s, and two strokes are fun but If fear the old ada...

Re: Blasphemy- CH250 Motor into Elite 50

Exactly the response I expected. I proved your premise wrong that engines with a 60% plus capacity difference will necessarily have different sized radiators. You cannot prove that the CH150 radiator will not adequately shed heat from the CH250 engine in the application that I am taking about. In tr...

Re: Blasphemy- CH250 Motor into Elite 50

Bear, Once again I don't understand why you have to behave the way you do. Lets look at your premise- I have a Yamaha Morphous- 250cc. I have a Yamaha Majesty-400cc. The have the exact same radiator. The percent difference in engine size is very similar to that of the 150 and 250. Both bikes run at ...

Re: Blasphemy- CH250 Motor into Elite 50

Yep.

That is part of the enhanced reliability. Adding a radiator and plumbing it is not a big deal. I already have a rad from a CH150 in anticipation of getting a water-cooled BBK.

Blasphemy- CH250 Motor into Elite 50

So I was looking at my spare CH250 motor today and took some quick measurements. It looks like it would be possible to stuff the CH250 into the Elite 50 frame. That motor is capable of 65+ MPH in a Helix or Elite 250 and I think it would be a lot of fun in the smaller scooter. While tuning 2strokes ...

The Helix is cool-

I know you hate the Helix- but ride one someday, they are extremely comfortable to ride and are pretty peppy. I actually really like the look of the bike. Plus you can get them for almost nothing and they last forever. My girlfriend actually loves to ride on the helix with me because it is so comfor...

Re: Awesome Craigslist ad for "MY BROTHERS SMART CAR"

LMAO

Now that is funny. I don't understand the SMART car either. An early 90s Civic VX or Geo Metro (with 3cyl) get comparable or better mileage and also have a trunk- and you don't look like a self-righteous prat while driving them.

Re: How to reach a true 65-70MPH?

I think you would get there with longer gears that 8.44's. Get some of Daywot's 6.9 primaries and try them out. They install without having to press a gear on or off the main shaft. I think the 6.9s would get you to the top speed you want but you are going to lose some torque.
