Re: Dial-A-Jet?
The dial-a-jet supposedly has the ability to vary the AFM by 20%- that is a pretty dramatic range.
However, the real appeal is to be able to make AFM adjustments without having to pull the bowl off the carb etc.
They even make a remote version so you can tune from the handlebars.

Dial-A-Jet?
These look really cool http://www.thunderproducts.com/dial_a_jet.htm Has anyone used them? The Big Ruckus guys swear by them. Seems like an awesome product if you get your jetting fairly close and then use the dial-a-jet to make the final adjustments to AFM without having to constantly replace jets....

That sucks-
Ususally with Craigslist that means that the item is sold- but it would be nice if people would remove the ad when the item is gone.
Try flagging the ad if he wont respond.

Re: Cheap DIO anyone? (Florida)
Because the Elite part is not remarkable- the DIO part is.
sanjuro wrote:That's an excellent deal, but why don't you title it 'cheap Elite'? I don't here anyone in Japan calling their Dio something else.
You don't call a Civic with an Integra motor an Integra. You still call it a Civic.

Actually you can buy brand new panels for that bike from a guy in San Francisco. $220 or so for a complete set in several colors. Check SF craigslist.
Those 87's are nice bikes- I have one

Re: Deepinnaharta Depression: JiangWayne's 26mm ExpChmbr Pipe
Wheelman,
Any Midas or muffler shop would be able to cut the pipe turn it out and weld it back up for you- probably for a nominal charge. My only concern is that I think those pipes come with some sort of clear-coat on them which might not stand up to the welding.

Re: (I dread asking) but how stiff is your rod?
Have you tried PB Blaster? It has never failed me yet for loosening rusty bolts, pipes etc. spray a whole bunch down into the crankcase and let it sit for a couple of days.
I'll bet it loosens that conrod right up.
