I bought a new moped! (Vespa Ciao)

I bought a new moped! Well, old, be new for me. It's a '74 Piaggio/Vespa Ciao. I bought it off a friend for $60, and it even has a title. Here's the cool part- the odometer says 790 miles. :P (I pedaled around for a while, and it works). Doesn't run, but the carb was gummed up badly, but I cleaned i...

Looks like the head on my STIHL chainsaw when I bought it. :D Some idiot ran it without 2 stroke oil. The 2 stroke oil was there, but it was in the bar oil tank. It had a full bar oil tank of 2 stroke oil. I used that oil in a weedeater. Now it needs new bearings; I was cutting and it was making a b...

The key switch is what cuts the power. Any motorcycle I've ever seen had power to the horn, blinkers, etc. if the key is on, and kill switch off (if it has a battery). On the KE100 enduro, you can shut the headlight off with the key, but keep it running.

I think the golden wrenches are a post meter type thing. More posts, more wrenches. Noiseguy would know. Are you running on the stock bore on the SE50? How does the Elite do with the exhaust and different center springs? How fast did your's go before? My SE50 can't go over 25 to save its life. I hav...

If it will go with the choke on, I'd be inclined to say it is too lean. Try turning the pilot screw richer. I always thought a Razz had an auto choke, but I guess not.

If I'm not mistaken, it's the engines used in Yamaha's, and similar.

Well, in my opinion, it's best to stay away from an SE50. The plastics are tough to find. Don't break them, and if you do, try to fix them. I wish I had a newer Elite. I wish I at least had under seat storage (for a stereo).

They're out there. I saw it for sale on VT Cycles. I'm just too cheap to go buy it. You say for $100? Shipped? Is it an expansion chamber, with external silencer, or is it one with an internal silencer?

I'm looking at building a pipe for mine.

First thing I ever got my hands on was a Rockford Chibi minibike (2 stroke 60cc, 3 speed) in a box of parts. Engine was torn apart. Didn't get it running, get, since it has stator problems. Next thing was the Kawi 185 four wheeler. That had bent and broken valves. Next was the KLR250. Just got that ...
