Re: It died...

It sounds like that is what you will need to do. At the very least you are going to have take the cylinder apart to see what is going on in there.

Re: Elite Running Slower then normal! Oil Problem perhaps?

Personnaly just about getting used vehicles in general I would say drain the oil and replace it. For $5 it is worth it just to KNOW you have good oil rather than guessing at it. Although I would wait for the great Bear and the weenie as he seems to be called now to confirm for sure.

Re: Elite Running Slower then normal! Oil Problem perhaps?

You'd be surprised at how little gas is used by these things and how much the carb bowl holds. That being said just standard buying used vehicles you should replace the oil, spark plug, fuel and filter just to know the last time it was done and to be sure that you are in the clear as far as those th...

Re: Cylinder/Piston fix questions.

So if I do an overbore to 44mm where would I find a piston to fit that? Would that be from my local honda-san?

Lulz. I was actually meaning the traffic. I about s*** a brick every time I have to deal with city traffic. I live in a small town so I am not used to not having a mile between me and the next vehicle.

Re: Cylinder/Piston fix questions.

Silly question, but what is the combustion chamber? *Edit* From what I can understand on the Spree it would be the last part of the cylinder, above all of the ports on the side? *Second Edit* I believe I found the culprit to all the damage. I assume there should have been two piston clips, but on the...

Re: Cylinder/Piston fix questions.

Oh I can guarantee it is not going to be within spec. I don't have extremely accurate tools at home, but my guess is that the largest of the groves is around .050 in. (hoping this is an over- estimate) deep so I would say to make sure it is round it would end up being a full .100 in. larger than it ...

Cylinder/Piston fix questions.

So Bear you were right, I took my cylinder apart today and wouldn't you know it my rings are bad and it looks like some metal got jammed in there to grove out my piston and my cylinder. Now I am wondering about course of action. My family owns a machine shop so machining something isn't the problem ...

Re: HEY CHECK IT OUT MICHIGAN ONLY!

Anyone around AA? I know the downriver area and such, the only problem is I don't have a way to get my spree anywhere unless I drive it. Sorry to say though the trip downriver on a spree would scare the * out of me past 275.

Re: No vacuum?

There is no bounce, nothing, not even a hint at it thinking of moving. I don't have the carb on at this moment, and I didn't try it with the throttle open because I didn't think about it honestly. If either of those would make a difference then it was probably my fault. Though I am not sure about th...

Re: No vacuum?

I have pulled the head and looked at the piston in the cylinder, it looked OK from above. I did put some ceran wrap rubber-banded around the cylinder to make sure there was some air being forced out. I just find it hard to believe that an engine could be running seemingly fine and then it just dies ...

Re: This spam is getting crazy!

I do not know how hard it would be to implement as I am too far outside the programing loop. Last time I knew anything php was brand spanking new. Anyways what I have seen more sites do is require a CAPTCHA for all forum posts by default. This is coupled with the option to 'validate' your account, w...
