I actually don't mind pre-mixing everywhere that would be practical for me to go on my spree is well within the range of a tank.

Re: Oil pump/reservoir/mix ratio confusion
What if I run the oil mixture to low, that is what I am really worried about doing.

Re: Summer is ending fast! Come on Michigan lets ride together!
Anytime sounds good to me. I am in the AA area, but could get anywhere east of Jackson for a ride. If anyone is still around for a labor day ride that would be great.

Re: A gentle reminder to ride safely
I have to agree with this completely. Just yesterday I was out for a ride and slipped on some gravel. I slid for a while and thankfully the only damage to me is some road rash on my hands and knee. If I had been wearing gloves and leather pants rather than jeans I probably wouldn't have even had tha...

Re: Really Confused '86 Spree
Seeing as how I am going to get a bunch of different answers as to the proper mix ratio, are there any signs that I can look for if I am putting too much/little oil in with my gas?

Re: Really Confused '86 Spree
The Spree has an oil tank between the rear of the fuel tank and the battery. If you must run premix 50 to 1 is more than adequate. Go here, http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=999 Open the first link and scroll down to page 13 thru 15. There are pictures and labels to show you...

Re: Really Confused '86 Spree
There is no black cap, there is no oil reservoir, there is no oil pump. What I was referring to apparently is the fuel gauge sensor. My new question is not having a separate oil reservoir and pump going to be detrimental to the engine? Also if it isn't is this when I would use what seems to be the s...

Re: Really Confused '86 Spree
Ok so maybe I am blind, but I am looking under the seat and I can not find an oil reservoir anywhere. All I can see is the cap for the fuel tank, and directly behind it what I believe is the fuel pump and gauge because wires are coming out of it. Do I only have to life the seat to see it or do I nee...

Re: Really Confused '86 Spree
Oh no I know better than to get the oil war started. But since there is an oil reservoir, do I still need to mix oil into my gas?

Oil pump/reservoir/mix ratio confusion
So I just bought an '86 spree and I am confused as to whether I use a gas oil mix/straight gas and whether there is somewhere to put oil. I have looked at the manual for it and it mentions an oil pump which suggests I an oil reserve somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated (telling me to use...
