I had the exact same problem with mine. I just took the clutch cover off and replaced the clutch and it was fine, but you could take the clutch apart and try to fix it yourself.

Clutch issues?
I just bought a 1986 honda spree and I noticed that it didn't really engage the clutch very quickly. Acceleration from 0-8mph is really sluggish but then it takes off pretty well. Is this normal? Also, the clutch engagement speed zone seems to have acquired a problem in that it has started to * rath...
