Re: Any Express guys here?
I had an issue with a nc50 2speed 1982. the center hubs on my 78 and 80 expresses were smaller but they are nu50's. BUT i was able to have the rim respoked at my local bike shop. so I guess what I'm saying is they very in size but if the rim is not wacked the spokes can be replaced good luck . btw w...

Re: my custom spree
Hi, not sure what type of paint you used but it looks nice. I have found the "protective enamel" holds up much better than standard spray paint on the metal parts

the odd question
can I get more throttle by milling the throttle sleeve at the top? this would allow greater range. Is there a point that higher makes no diff or impede proper function. i have a few extra I might give it a try.

Re: 1984 spree labor of love !!!!!!!!

I also made custom turn signal bracket for the front and used an elite back tail light setup . I'll post more p...

Re: Spree 44mm bore kits?
Yep that's what I had done. only I used 4 - 1/2 inch holes on the top side, I thought about putting them on the back lip of the lid net to the original in let . I didnt have a uni bit. I bought a box of parts from craigs list and there was an intake that had been ground to a larger opening at the to...

Re: Carb for a big bore spree
well here's where I'm at, I'm using the 95 jet that came with the kit and it seems to be a pretty ok match. as I have a 65,68,78,85, and the 95. I tried them all I"m sure that 78-95 is the range that most spree's would fall into. As Bear say's "each bike is a bit different" I used thi...

Re: Spree runs ok...ish, still need some help
inspect the port for the bystarter. and the bystarter its self. i believe it should read 10 ohms but you may wish to check the manual.
no cost inspection..
oh, get a new air filter. 4 $ at the local honda shop

Re: is this right?
your clutch and belt has a bit to do with low end. you can remove the side cover and check the belt for fraying. you can also remove the clutch drum with out to much trouble. look for wear on the pads. there are 3 arms with pads on them. they are held in by one spring each and pivot on one post each...
