Re: spree hasnt run "correctly" for around 10 years.
90% of the time the carb is the issue. With only 50 miles everything is still new. I would start by purchasing a can of carb dip. Disassemble the carb and place the carb body in for a few days soak. After a few days, retreive carb body the blow out every little hole with compressed air. Polish the ...

Re: question on different spree plastics
Are you saying there is a basket that will fit the 84-86 front fairing properly?dr.ona wrote:That's for a 1987 Spree...will not fit an 84-86 Spree without looking like sh#t.
You need the other style that does not have the blinkers attached to it.

Re: spree acceleration
couple questions
1. Can a drive clutch (front clutch) with a variator be put on the spree?
2. Can heavier springs be put in the driven clutch (rear clutch) to get it to engage a little later when the engine will be at higher rpm?

Re: spree acceleration
That seems to be the normal consensus. When mine was still running, from 0-15 I could have probably beaten a stock spree on my normal bike. Your 0-15 comment is probably true with mine. My Yamaha Razz could smoke my spree. Hmmmm wonder if the razz engine and tranny could swap into the spree? The ra...

spree acceleration
Is the acceleration on the sprees really really anemic? I know everyone seems to be pushing for top speed, I can live with the 30 mph max but I would like to see better acceleration. I'm hopeing there is nothing wrong with mine. The belt is not slipping because the motor is not over reving. If I wer...

Have you messed with the air screw? I know I had my air screw too many turns out and I got a * take off. Put my air screw at about 1 turn out and problem solved.

Re: Clutch problem?
Just put an order in for a new Honda belt. I wonder if one of the brakes are sticking creating the noise? Is this possible? You should cancel the stock belt and go buy an SAE cogged belt which is 1/2" X 24". It is a cheap speed secret and will give you some extra MPH. Part number for the ...

Clutch problem?
Just picked up an 86 spree that is in pretty good shape, 1900 miles. It has been sitting for 3 years without being run. I got it running (exhaust tip was plugged with mud or mudd bee stuff), it actually seems to run good. I took it out for a spin and noticed a couple things, not sure if they are rel...
