I screwed the gaskes up taking them off. :roll: I just ordered the reeds and gaskets they were cheap, only 35 bucks at the dealer.

Replaced the o ring, no change but it does idle better. I
pulled the reeds and one side does have a small gap. I dont think that would cause such a big problem would it?

It acts like its sucking the bowl dry. If I floor it unil it dies and then let off to idel and then gun it again it just bogs. If I let it sit and idel about 20 secs it will take right off for 5 secs the bog again. Fuel is flowing good to the carb.

Mine did that, it was the fuel petcock. It would leak fuel down the vac tube and in the morning the case was full.

This does not have notches is an Aero 80. I did a chop and the plug looks good nice an brown. It only gos lean past half throttle. I did find a vacuum leak around the oil pump, if I drip 10-40 motor oil around the oil pump were it meets the case it sucks it in. Bad O ring. On these stupid things you...

Its going lean, when I gun it and it starts to bog I shot some carb cleaner in the airbox intake and the bike took off.

Did anyone fix this problem? I have an Aero 80 that I just picked up, Cleaned the crap out of the carb. (its clean) changed the gas and the oil put in a new bat. and airfilter. Mine was doing that. It turned out to be a bad fuel petcock. Some fuel was leaking down the vacuum line when it sat. I would have to crank it alot to blow out the extra gas before it would start.

The resistor is the ground for the bystarter. It does not connect to anything else. (look at the wiring diagram) The resistor controls the voltage to the bystarter. This contols the "speed" of which the bystarter opens.
Your bystarter will not work without it.
