Re: How much did Spree's cost?
I'm sure someone else on this forum could give you the exact MSRP for each year (they're good on here) but I think it was right at $500 back in the day.

Re: Oil
Of course you can't go wrong using Honda GN2, but any 2 stroke oil that mentions injector or injection on the label will do fine.

Common symptoms of a bad bystarter?
I have an 87 Spree that takes like 30 kicks to start when cold. When warm it starts with 1 maybe 2 kicks. Otherwise the thing runs great. Does this sound like a bystarter problem? Just wanted to get some input before I bought a new bystarter! Thanks!

Re: Accptable number of kicks to start?
As far as battery power is concerned, I installed a new battery. The electric start worked worked for a week and then nothing. I ride my scoot every weekend ( I don't want it to sit up and develop problems) at least 3 or 4 miles and everything is tuned up as far as plug, air filter, etc..

Accptable number of kicks to start?
I bought an 87 Spree last fall with 4900 miles on it. It runs great but the only thing is when its cold I have to kick it 25-30 times to fire it up. Now when its warm it's a totally different story, one maybe two kicks. Any ideas why it's so hard to get started? How many times does it take to kickst...

Re: Different Spree carbs for different years?
I just found a service manual and it says carb id number pa29c '86 pa29h <pa29l>
after '86 pa29p <pa29Q>
what's the difference with the letters following number? I think the number in quotations refer to the iowa models...

Different Spree carbs for different years?
I need a carb for my 87 Spree. It seems like I remember that the 87 year model used a different carb than the other years. If that is correct will an 85 or 86 year model carb possibly work on an 87? Just wondering...

Best place to buy a helmet? And brand/style you prefer?
I'm in the market for a good brand name helmet. Any certain brands or styles you scooter veterans prefer? What websites or stores do you suggest? Thanks for the help everyone!

Honda Spree production numbers... Any ideas?
Does anyone have any idea how many sprees were produced in each year of production? Seems like this info should be floating around somewhere. And if anyone had it, they would surely be on this great board!
