I look forward to reaping the benefits of these. A grinding or whiring sound from them concerns me though. It can only lead to trouble because perhaps they dont fit quite right. Was looking to see if anyone has installed them without. Should they be installed without the washer?

Muffler was chemical dipped (worked great) wire wheel sanded to bare metal, primed with high temp primer, and painted with rustoleum rattle can grill paint which is supposed to be tolerant to heat up to 1500 degrees. Im a salesman in the printing and publishing industry by day and the skipper of a high tech racing catamaran in my mind. With the printing industry starting to die a very slow death, was thinking about painting used scooter parts with a rattle can to make ends meet.
