bought wrong crank for 84 spree (trade??)
I ordered the wrong crank for a 84 spree, I got a 1300-gk8-780 (86 modle), but need a 13000-GK8-303 which replaced the 13000-GK8-000. It appears the only diffrence is the 3mm larger diamiter journal. It wont fit in the 84 spree case. I bought it new in the box and other than some light surface rust ...

Good tip on on the overheated rod, I diddnt catch it. I found a crank for $50 shipped, any special way to press the bearings on, or just tap. tap. tap.?

Yep, you were right, this defiantly takes practice. I did ok for a first try, the journals were off in all 3 axies. I have no idea how this bike ran like this.
