what do I have here?
Can anyone tell me what I have? My buddy who owns the motorcycle shop here in town asked me to find out. He says he doesn't even remember working on it. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t121/kingearwig/for%20sale/DSCN1742.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t121/kingearwig/for%20sale/DSCN1756.j...

Re: Compression test on non-running elite
So I got a compression tester...three kicks with the throttle open and I got a 125-130 reading. Put a few drops of fuel in before replacing the plug...forgot to put the plug wire back on and kicked it over a few times and then once I realized the plug wire was off and put it on...it ran for a secon...

Re: where to buy bearings and seals?
Got mine for the Aero and Dio from the same cyclepartswharehouse, shipping time is the biggest bummer. I called and talked to a real live person there even and found out they order direct from Honda and don't actually "wharehouse" anything. So if time is important go straight to the sourc...

Re: where to buy bearings and seals?
I have an af16e and I got my bearings and seals from cyclepartswarehouse.com only cost like $45 with shipping but it took about 2 weeks to get here. They are genuine honda parts though.

Re: any small block Chevy guys here?
if you have lots of corn around... you can run ethanol. I wouldn't ever buy any E85 as you can't get a good enough price break on it ever but if you get your EtOH for free then that is a different story.

Re: baby blue 72
Big carbs with low air flow thru them tend to need bigger jets because the low air velocity thru the venturi tends to not pull fuel like it does with and appropriately sized carb to engine choice. Too much carb causes poor low end and mediocre mid-range engine performance. Over carburation is the b...

Re: 2001 Elite S
Greetings: Quoth Kingearwig: This is true it has 8000+ and they look spun. I am not getting another case... can you think of anything I can do to half azz it? Couple wraps of duct tape around the outer race always works for me... Seriously, if the bearing's spun it may not come off the crank...

Re: 2001 Elite S
From what I see, both bearings on a crank. sound like the cases had lots of miles. the crank bearings need to be tight into both crank case. if bearings dont hold good on case, then ,need to get another crank cases. This is true it has 8000+ and they look spun. I am not getting another case... can ...

Re: 2001 Elite S
Greetings: I have the bearing separator shown above. The price is considerably less than a good one from Snap-On. That's because it isn't a good one... It needs a lot of work to get it to "bite" under the bearing. The edges are very blunt and it tends just to crush the outer race rather t...

Re: baby blue 72
funny that it ran before but with same plug. so the gap HAS to be checked with a feeler gauge or something right? to bad i dont have that or a new plug. autozone sells sh*tty ones for very cheap.. they are by the check out. not the most accurate but they are close. and there is a easy way to tell i...
