my suzuki FA50 doesnt have a fan either, but the motor is completly exposed to the outside air. our hondas are wrapped in plastics so could this be the reason for the fan? and since the honda motors were designed to need the fan and not running one with cause catastrophic failure. ok told you so. i thought you said with or without fan shroud. them suckers cost millions, seem worth it? millions for your engine. there's no engine i've ever seen without a fan. doesn't even weedeaters have fans. air needs to go around the whole thing, and get rid of hot spots. it's just heat bui...

seized up on me today... gonna need new rings and a piston. So everyone gets to say I told you so. I guess it won't work with out the fan shroud. Can someone tell me where I can get one of these from a non ebay seller? I don't have a paypal account. and it would be nice if it didn't come from HI so ...

on my 2001 I was able to get another 3-4 mph (after removing the "outer ring") by grinding the "drive face boss" an eighth inch shorter too.

I too have respect for the opinions put forth here, and appreciate the warnings. I will be testing this moped in the 105 F summer head soon enough and will certainly post my results. So far I haven't obtained a heat temp gauge. If she blows up then I will be going bigger and installing the duct work...

I don't know about any of the other parts of the exhaust but the part right by the cylinder is WAY too hot for regular paint. I tried it... it turns white in no time.

first I would wire wheel then naval jelly, then wire wheel again. then maybe sand... don't prime then paint.(depending how nice you want it) I used the stuff called rust eater bbq grill paint available at ace hardware. The nozzle SUCKED. I do a lot of spray painting and this was about the crappiest ...
