I have this problem. Many of the lights in my town will not register my moped. I tried a small powerful magnet but this would only work if I pulled the magnet off and put it on the ground near the buried wire. I think your issue is fuel. Take the airbox off and spray ether directly into the carb with the throttle wide open and see if it will fire at all. my guess is that it will. The carburetor is microscopically clean inside, all ports and pathways are clear. Both fuel and oil are reaching the carburetor...

Still only 35F here but took it out anyway. I am running pretty rich, I don't know what size jet. I think I am running into an issue that others have. I recommend not trying to kick start it before you fix it as spring steel on aluminum is bad.

The kickstarter is oddly loose - it doesn't want to spring back up the way it should. That's something I did putting it back together, though. good thought... maybe cut all of the fins off of the fan nicely. so as to leave the plastic base of the fan to protect whats under there.

take the plug out and put your thumb over the plug hole. you should not be able to hold the pressure with your finger when you crank the motor over... it should blast your thumb off of the hole. if you can hold the pressure with your thumb then you for sure have lost compression. Not the most accura...
