Re: Running Pre-Mix w/ Oil Pump Delete: Smoke issues normal?
Hey guys,
So I siphoned my gas tank and drained out the carb. Made up another batch of pre-mix using a different type of oil...and no smoke issues anymore. I'm guessing it was the oil?

Running Pre-Mix w/ Oil Pump Delete: Smoke issues normal?
I recently deleted the Oil Pump and started running pre-mix. It seems to be putting off a good bit of white smoke at idle and WOT. Is this a sign of the carb needing to be tuned?....or is this normal when you run pre-mix? Or is it running rich/lean? I still have the stock carb w/ .88 main jet. It cr...

I've seen a lot of debate regarding the use of 10w 30 Motor Oil or regular gear oil for the primary/secondary gears.
Whats the advantages/disadvantages of either/or?

What would you guys say is the most modest reliable proven Big Bore Setup that requires no machine work or heavy modification?
I'm talking head/piston, size carb, size/type exhaust, intake, etc.

Oil Pump Plug Question
When you guys delete the oil pump and run pre-mix, once the plug is inserted and a washer is used to keep it in.....I've noticed there is about 1/8th inch of space between the plug and the washer. When I crank the scooter....I notice that the plug bounces up and down against the washer. Is this a no...

Any recommendations (or links) on where to get the V8, OKO and UNI filter?bfowler wrote:If you're just looking for about 50 then Id say go with a 24mm carb and a v8 exhaust (make sure the v8 is the one designed for 50-72cc). Might even be able to run a smaller carb like 21mm. And get a UNI filter too
