Re: My 2000 Elite SA50P quest for 45mph

I actually haven't had a chance to install the 9:1 gears yet. I've been able to cruise pretty well at that 40-45mph range so I've been happy just riding it. I actually just shot Taz a note and asked about his 50mm kit. I was thinking of doing the same thing and tackling it all at once. I haven't be...

Re: 90/90 Tires

Stupid question: Do they sell any kind of 90/90 Dual Purpose tire? Basically looking for a tread pattern similar to the Honda Ruckus but didn't know if anyone even made something like that?

Re: 90/90 Tires

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/5/32/404/1/0/0/DEPARTMENT/Scooter-On-Road-Tires-Tires.aspx Ordered 3 sets of tires from these guys over the years and been very happy. How well the 90/90's fit totally depends on what scooter you're putting them on. Awesome. They are going on a 2001 Honda Elite ...

Re: My 2000 Elite SA50P quest for 45mph

Hi All - Should I hold off on riding it until I get the #85 main jet installed? Do you think what I've got planned will get me to 45mph or do you think what's already done should have me goign faster than 34? What other things could I look for? I was considering a new belt because the previous owne...

Re: 2001 Elite S 50: Big Bore Recommendations

i think the stock piston is 39mm a 50mm bbk is nice but you shooed go with a bigger carb and a nice pipe will help you will see more rpm out of the bbk the more air you can get in and the more rpm you will get out of it ... you may see 50ish out of her with just the 9/1 finale drive .. swimmingfree...

Re: 2001 Elite S 50: Big Bore Recommendations

I'm just curious how much of a difference it would be with a BBK. Say a 50mm....is it even wort...

Re: My 2000 Elite SA50P quest for 45mph

My goal is 45mph without going the bbk route. To get to 45mph out of 50cc, you'll need about 12,000rpm with stock gears. A Scorpion exhaust and aftermarket carb/manifold will get you part way there. Your stock reed valve will eventually shatter at these revs, so change to a carbon-fibre type. NOTE:...

2001 Elite S 50: Big Bore Recommendations

Question for you guys: 1.) What combination do you guys recommend for a Big Bore Kit and bigger Carb/intake? Looking for someone to point me in the direction of something that is a decent upgrade from the stock head/cylinder but does not require a lot of complex fabrication. (See my signature for c...

Re: How fast is the elite S

Greetings: If you mean the exhaust flange is loudly leaking due to a broken stud, STOP! Don't run it. It's not just loud, it's Lean, and that can cause overheating and piston/cylinder damage or worse. Stock SR = 42 MPH Add 9:1 gears and variator = 49MPH Add Wishful Thinking (and a steep downhill) =...

Re: 2001 Elite S 50 - Budget Entry Level Mods?

Greetings: Fortunately Honda-san thoughtfully included cubbies and glove boxes to carry a quart of your preferred lube along with a little plastic measuring cup. Oh, and maybe a calculator. When you pop into your local Gas 'n' Go, note the gallons pumped. Multiply by 128 and divide by 4, add that m...
