Re: Honda crankshaft install?
And the crankshaft itself? Do I have to freeze it to install pressed end in the bearing? Thanks.

Honda crankshaft install?
Can this be done without the special tool? I seen crankshaft bearings frozen, then dropped into slightly heated case. Is it possiblt to slightly heat crank race with propane, and drop in? Or should I buy the tool to only use once? Anybody ever made one? Thanks for any help.

Re: 1984 Spree idle
UPDATE. I cleaned carb for the 3rd time, and same problem. I noticed that the air box lid was NOT snapped all the way. That did the trick. These are very sensitive. Runs about 28 after ring job. Sound about right?

1984 Spree idle
Hello. I have an 84 spree with 5k on it. Compression was 72psi. It ran bit not well. I measured bore (it was within specs). I honed cylinder, and put new rings on it. I checked ring gap, and it was also in specs. I got it running again. There was no air filter in box, so I put new correct filter on ...

Re: Honda Spree center stand problem
Thanks for info. I have the 2.50 x 10 on rear. The stand feet are completly flat (no arch at all). So I probably need to heat, and bend to rearch?

Re: Honda Spree center stand problem
I wonder if tires on mine was replaced with a size taller ones? When you bent stand, that fixed the leaning problem, not the height right?

Honda Spree center stand problem
I have an 84 Spree that I just purchased, and replaced rings (5k). While on center stand, my rear tire isn't off of the ground? Is this normal? I thought tire was to be off the ground while on stand. It also leans to one side, or the other (doesn't sit flush on stand). Any thoughts, or ideas? Thanks...

Re: 84 Honda Spree rings (where can I buy)?
I'm going to pull head, and check. Runs for about 3 minutes before dying. You have to baby the throttle though. Just found online manual, and it said 114psi minimum. I checked mine cold though. I'm sure with almost 5K on odometer, it's past time to ring. Local shop said $60 to bore (trying to pay fo...

Re: 84 Honda Spree rings (where can I buy)?
Thanks for info. Is it "possible" to change rings a few times before having to bore?

84 Honda Spree rings (where can I buy)?
Where can I buy rings for 84 Spree? Almost 5000 miles. Cold motor tested at 75psi. Only goes about 20mph. Looks to have been never changed. Might it be possible to replace with std rings? I know i'll have to measure cylinder first, but is it possible to replace std rings on 1st rebuild (after cross ...

84 Honda Spree question
How fast should my Honda Spree go with 3500 miles? How long (miles) before it should need rings usually? Thanks for any help.
