Re: Rear Rack Boxes

Thanks a lot, mousewheels. I've seen people around with boxes a bit bigger than the Rubbermaid one you posted, but they're usually on the notably larger rear rack of their Super Cub. Having an extension like Bear45-70's got would be quite nice to have. I've already got a canvas bag that I tote my to...

Rear Rack Boxes

Hey all, Chad in Japan here. It's been a while since I've been around. Partially because I moved and got rid of my Dio. Well, I moved again and picked up another Dip and have been thinking about making a relatively large box to hold my tools as I am currently working as a carpenter. If there's alrea...

Re: Hiya, I`m new here...

Hey guys, thanks for getting back at me. I had the bike shop check it out. And it turned out to be... a bees' nest in the muffler!!! They charged me about $10 to clean it out. I'll be around Japan for another year or so. So, if you guys would like to get your hands on any original parts, let me know...

Re: Hiya, I`m new here...

Hey guys, it's been over 3 years since my first post on this forum and I'm back with a new(er) Dio. I ended up giving the scooter to my boss because he was strapped for cash and sold his car and I didn't want haul it with me when I moved. Then, I found out that he didn't use it. Then, he gave it to ...

Re: I think I'm burning oil...halp

Thanks for the help guys. I know the guys who sold me the scooter topped off the oil, but I didn't pay attention to the exact level at the time. I'm pretty sure it was nearly full when I got it about a month ago. I'm hoping that I just need to turn the oil screw down a bit. Also, I failed to mention...

Re: Video! Dio SP on backroads in Japan

I like the idea of the water bottle holder in the foot well. heh, thanks. It would be MUCH more useful if I didn't have a full-face helmet... It's good for keeping a drink cold until I get to my destination. I just found the bottle holder laying in the driveway, popped the screw off, and put it bac...

I think I'm burning oil...halp

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s314/lilbacon3/DSCF9342.jpg I'm pretty sure I'm burning oil fairly quickly. I rode about 20 minutes last night at 20-30mph, parking for 2 hours, and rode back a little slower b/c I noticed the smoke (and oil light) on the ride to my destination. I found that the o...

Re: Video! Dio SP on backroads in Japan

Thanks, I don't think I'd ever be riding a scooter on the backroads of Japan. Also, nice work volunteering to teach 5th graders English. Think happy thoughts and anything can happen! And thank you, I really enjoy working with kids. It's fun and rewarding. Hopefully, my visa will go through quickly ...

Re: Video! Dio SP on backroads in Japan

Get yourself a helmet cam and a wind sock. Yea, it's a bit windy. I thought it was better than dubbing over the sound with a poor-quality pop song. I think annoying wind sounds better than pop music anyhow. :P Why would a need a wind sock? I know that the wind will be blowing from my front to back ...

Re: Fuel/gas mileage/milage thread. Fuel efficiency is hip!

I just got a true reading with no 3km descents with the engine off. Also, I noticed that sometime last week, my throttle feels much easier to twist. I can now easily take off with one finger. Maybe the throttle cable had been gunked up or a little rusty from sitting. I have no idea how long it actua...
