Carb sizing

Had some issued with seizing in the past. AF24 with a 50mm bbk mini stroke crank 19mm carb ect. Could my carb be too small ? Want to start working on it again. Last time i thought i might have had an air leak at the oil pump shaft cause it was loose. Been running premix 32:1 felt like it was tuned p...

Re: Tuning issues, possible leak? soft seize

Can't feel any of the scratches with my nail. Didn't chamfer anything. Kinda new to the whole 2 stroke game so I'll do some searching on that.

Tuning issues, possible leak? soft seize

Broke it in for a few tank fulls running castrol oil at 32:1 seemed to be running decent. Pilot is at a 42 i...

Re: Gears with a heavier rider

For the stock torque spring? Do you think I can get the 6.9:1's to work at all?

Gears with a heavier rider

Are 6.9:1 gears too tall for a heavier rider? I'm just under 250lbs and slowly dropping more lol. Marked the variator And The belt is about 1/2 inch or so from the end. Just started working on my scooter again. Done break in and it's running really well. Got a trailtech vapor coming to watch rpms an...

Re: Running without battery

I think might have a bad ground somewhere. Runs like crap without a battery. Think it's worth trying one of the li-ion? Seen them online for not much more than a reg battery.

Running without battery

Is it ok to run without a battery? And has anyone tried the new lithium batteries? Mine was stolen out of my scooter and was looking at new ones, and saw the li-ion batteries. Sounds pretty sweet. Might even run a hid headlight? Tried One out before but the alternator couldn't keep up to keep it goi...

Re: Case problem??

No ideas? Could it be that the mini stroker crank I have needs thinner bearings? I have 2 sets of crank bearings, was possibly thinking of slightly sanding one set down. I think all it needs is maybe a mm or so off each.

Re: Case problem??

Now that I think back, when I first installed the crank I had this problem. Eventually just got it to seal and spin free. Gotta fix it right this time.

Case problem??

Finally getting around to rebuilding my af24 again. Split the cases, new bearings and seals. Tried installing the crank into the big half first and it didn't seem to want to go in perfectly straight. Took it out. Thought maybe the bearing wasn't seated all the way, so I reinstalled it. Tried pulling...

Re: HID Lights on a spree.

Have you had any issues with power yet? I had a HID on my honda Tact for awhile, loved the light output, worked great that way, but I dont think the stator puts out enough to keep up with charging the battery and running the headlight. Maybe it was just the ballast i had consumed too much?

Re: My Honda Tact

Have to check for leaks, my afr isnt right. Its roughly around 13.5-14 right now which should be quite lean. Rode around quite a bit today and temps are maxing out at 300. Gonna ride it to work tonight and see how it is. Seems a lot slower than it was before when it was high compression but thats ex...
