I installed a Ruckus variator on my completely stock 1986 NB50. Tried it with the 10 gram stock rollers and it is sluggish going up the hills. What is the consensus on the correct roller weight and brand for this set up? I am not planning on any further upgrades for performance.

I experienced the same problem. I used JB Weld to hold nuts on to the back in lieu of retapping the holes and used longer bolts. It has been quite secure for over two years now.
