Re: 85/86 hybrid

It most definitely IS an Enfield! Its a '99, I bought it new when I was 19, then traded it to my dad to get my first car back lol. He has done some really cool customisations and things on it. They arent a whole lot faster than a Spree stock! Glad you like the sig, its an inexact quote from, I...

Re: 85/86 hybrid

Wow, I can see that. Never would have thought of it...maybe I should work on that idea a little! Actually, I think Ive changed my mind..gonna go with a nice metallic red, save the black/blue for the '85 build. Im not sure yet. I was lookin at it, and realised I actually dig red Sprees even though I ...

Re: Id like to introduce myself

Thanks, and good to know! So far, I havent run into any major problems. I have noticed some differences though, different flywheel, different stator, different pickup (i think thats what its called) location, and much smaller reeds in the '85. So I put the '86 reeds in it. :naughty:

85/86 hybrid

So I got these 2 Sprees off CL, $50 for the 85 and $150 for the 86. Both red. The 86 had just eaten a piece of its own compression ring, but is otherwise super-clean, so I didnt think 150 was too bad. The 85 has been sitting outside and didnt run, but was complete except for rear plastics, worth the...

Id like to introduce myself

Hey everyone! First off, my real name is Adam, please call me whatever youre comfortable with. I'm not enirely new to Sprees, they were all over the place when I was a kid, and Ive had one in one form or another since I was 13. I had a QT50 once also. And a Qingqi back in the 90's. I'm pretty good a...

Re: I got the new Aero running... but driving it, not so hot

Im just guessing here, but maybe you should look into the rear brake to see if it's in need of adjustment/other work?
