Re: Some interesting details

Ahh I see...I figured it was a known difference. So Im guessing... for '86,since the slide needle is smaller, therefor richening the mixture, and knowing the reeds are larger, the main jet is also probably slightly larger?

Some interesting details

I was messing around with a rich-running condition yesterday, and looking for the notches on the slide-needle I noticed these differences between the '85 and '86 needles. I'm running the '85 carb, so I switched to the '85 needle. Slides themselves have no differences.

Re: 85/86 hybrid

Got it running today! Rode around for about 40 mins., runs great! Front wheel appears to be warped, will switch with the non warped one on the '85 tmarrow. I'm already hooked on it. I forgot just how much fun these things are.

I second that. Really, as long as its 2-cycle injector oil it will be ok, but the higher grade stuff is best.

Re: (SMS)...Sleeper Moped Society

Man, it came out great especially for your first attempt! Im great with the spray bombs, havent got the nerve to use the real thing yet, but thats coming soon. I figure I'll be ok since I understand the techniques...its the mixing and all the different problems like fisheyes, wrinkles, and all the o...

Re: 85/86 hybrid

I did see yours, looks awesome. I only cut about 1-3/4 off the main springs, so it is lower than stock, I guess "slammed" isnt quite accurate. I'll be sure to choose my words more carefully from now on. Those grips used to be pretty easy to find, and pretty cheap. I think J.C. Whitney has ...
