Re: SA50 Elite won’t start after BBK.
if your running stock carb its in your best interest to run it with the stock airbox like noted above. take out your plug squirt some gas mix down in the cylinder. with the stock airbox secured properly. try to start it. it should run briefly. next id check to see if your actually getting fuel into ...

Re: Ruined my new BBK but how?
i ran than setup minus the arrow. You should be around 110-112mj and I lost my first 2 BBks to user error. one thing that I did learn is even if you think you dont have an air leak you probably do. lots of good advice already given. good luck and lets see the bike?

Re: The path to 50-60 MPH...
talk to brandon or carter at scooterswapshop.com about gears. you will need to have them pressed in so its probably the hardest part. I had those guys do mine. as for parts just make sure whatever you buy its quality parts. as for the bbk install you wont need any special tools that you cant find ea...

Re: The path to 50-60 MPH...
I got close to 50 with a new variator and gears on stock set up. I know you said you dont want to do a bbk but the contessa really is a great bore and will get you there. I did my build in stages and thought about the future process when doing it. if you buy quality products that are gonna last then...

Re: Elite idles but bogs down after throttle
if you can get the yellow and clutch. youll end up getting it at some point anyway. no point running all the other goodies and still run the stock clutch.

Re: Issues with tuning
I ran a 110-112mj with my 24 on my corsa. that pipe is new to me so not sure if that will affect you. have you tried going lower with your main? what does it do. have you tried raising the mj? what happens? I am running a 118 on my corsa with a 26mm polini. and I can blast the * out of it all day lo...

Re: Elite idles but bogs down after throttle
your gonna want to change your contra and clutch springs. i would run a yellow contra with that and you need to know what rpm your clutch engages at. I was running yellow springs and a yellow contra and was a pretty solid setup. clutch engages around 6k. if your not engaging the clutch at the right ...

Re: 2001 Elite S w/ Polini Corsa: What parts combo is proven
gearhart is a wizz with the corsa setup and ive seen what he can do. the one thing I will say is you dont need a carb bigger than a 24 pwk polini. I am running a 26 on a stock corsa and its to much and will probably eventually go back to a smaller 24 at some point. if you have any questions feel fre...

Re: Elite idles but bogs down after throttle
are your not running rich with the 118 mj in there? I am currently running a similar setup with a 26mm polini carb and running a 118 and think I am rich. when I ran a 24 I was running a 110 mj with great success. you will be right around 110 unless you have an airleak.

Re: 1999 Elite S derestricting.
if you go to harbor freight and look for a oil filter wrench. its 10 bucks and can hold your drive face to loosen the nut. others use impacts to do it but I like to have something that I can do it if I dont have power tools. I spent countless hours trying to find something that will work for this an...
