Re: Throttle cable no longer auto closing
I disassembled the cable where it splits from one to two for carb and oil pump, if i twist the grip you can see the rod moving back and forth. I don't totally understand how that operates the rest of the cable. Where is the spring bear? the only spring i see in the whole assembly is the one under th...

Throttle cable no longer auto closing
So heres another snag in my build. I removed the oil pump, and plugged it with the aluminum plug from VT Cycles, but now I can't figure out why my throttle stays open after you twist the grip (grip doesn't recoil itself just stays where you twist to). I assume this is my bad because it worked fine b...

Cooling shroud fitment
How have people modified the cooling shrouds for the cylinder head in the past when running a bbk. The polini kit is significantly taller than the stock head, and I'm using head studs as well.

Re: Drilling out exhaust baffles
Yep, same one I ordered. Ordered it on the 8th and it still hasn't come yet, when they say a maximum of 22 days to ship they mean it! For 25$ shipping I'm not impressed, but thats what you get from taiwan. High people in amsterdam are faster shipping my gears than these guys are though ![jack :jack:](./images/smilies/jerkit.gif)

Drilling out exhaust baffles
I've heard alot of people talk about this but couldn't find anything on performance variances, or a how to and where and what to drill... I ordered a tact exhaust for my se50p, basically just an unrestricted se50 pipe, and was trying to figure out whether it should be drilled or not. Any help would ...

Re: 87 SE50P Gears?
Found the Malossi primaries, bit the bullet and went with those. malossi's for the se50p? 16/32 primary set ~7.83:1 final drive Indeed, coming from the netherlands of course. So my final setup will be my signature plus the gears and the Uni filter that just came in. I have to decide whether or not ...

Re: 87 SE50P Gears?
So I guess I don't totally understand, you'd just pick up the final and primary drive set for a dio and you're set? Daywot also sells both in his ebay store.

87 SE50P Gears?
Reading through the forum I can tell gears are a heavily disscussed topic, but I guess I'm still pretty lost as to which gearset to buy for my elite and where I can source the parts. Daywot on ebay carries gearsets for the Dio but didn't know if they were interchangeable with my elite. Any help woul...

Haha yep it's my first scooter. I've actually been living on these forums for the last month or so, since I first started looking into buying one. Great info here, loving working on the scooter so far it is definitely addicting though! Just like cars.

Re: Joining the scootworld
Haha thanks guys, I actually bought this scoot in Nashua New Hampshire. It's looking good so far, waiting for the uni filter, the jets, and my bbk to come in so I can finish up the project.

Joining the scootworld
Whats up everyone? Just picked up an 87 SE50P for short money a few weeks ago. It had it's problems but I paid dirt for it so I went for it. Been fishing through these forums religiously for the past few weeks now sourcing out new parts, tech-info, and reading some build up ideas. I figured now that...
