Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
Update I let it sit a few days after I pulled the head, and I started to kick start it....Well it fired up! Ran for about 2-10 sec and then would die. Seems like it wasn't getting fuel, although I already checked the lines, cleaned the carb, etc. I pulled the carb, cleaned again, and put it back on....

Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
Update: I pulled the reed valve and tipped the bike over. I got about 1/4 cup of oil out. I then hooked up the battery and tried to start it...this time was still getting seized, but didn't even sound close to starting like it was before. I got tired and had to put it away.

Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
Greetings: Quoth Buya02: I talked to the previous owner today and he kinda had the same input. He said something is floating which cause the motor to seize up. I have a hunch it is hitting the plug. My first guess is hydrolocking with oil, but based on that additioinal info, it could also be a chun...

Ya and I checked that, the gap in the plug is fine.Bear45-70 wrote:If the piston hits the plug, it will close the gap. Very easy to see and unlikely as all get out.

Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
Greetings: Somehow I don't think removing the spark plug and cranking will get "all the oil out of the motor". Your engine doesn't seem to think so either. Maybe it's hitting the plug or something else, but I'd drop the block and tip it over to see. Otherwise, you can try vacuuming it fro...

Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
Ok here is a update. I went to Pep Boys and picked up a new battery. I installed it in the bike, and this is what I did; 1. Electric started it without the spark plug in for 5 sec a few times to get all the oil out of the motor as stated in previous posts. 2. Put the spark plug in, electric start, a...

Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
Ok so today I put a new plug in, put everything back together, and premixed my gas just in case. I kick started it, and same thing ran for 1 sec died, and then the kick start was stuck. I pulled the spark plug out, and started to kickstart it. The weird thing was, it was no longer seized. I am total...

Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
Have you checked if your engine is flooded? The exact same thing was happening to mine: http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15856 Waiting on a new spark plug now to see if that fixes the problem. The engine was flooded from the faulty oil pump with the prior owner. I did howeve...

Re: Motor Keeps Seizing or Gears Getting Stuck...HELP
First off, those pics are of the electric start and that is not causing your motor to sieize. Oh and that is pretty much normal looking. Until you made sure the oil pump was working, did you put premix in the tank so the motor was being oiled for sure? If not you may have very well hurt the motor. ...
