Anyone know what kind of scooter this is? It has a water leak and motor overheating. Looking for a manual to know where to hook up loose hose.
The title calls it a FMST and DMV says it's FMSTar.
thanx

cleaning the gas tank and more
Read the wiki about how to clean a rusty tank before I did my elite tank. did the CLR and marbles method but ended up replacing the tank (it was pretty bad to start with). So when it came to my spree tank, I did the same thing and finished off with baking soda rinse. The tank looks much worse than w...

Found a used, complete top end I can see next week. Thanks for the help. If I need help with crankcase I'll search old posts.

Re: "top end rebuild kit"
I'll have to read how to check the clearances and splitting the case. I don't have any specialty tools if that's required.

Obviously need a new piston. Looks like part of the clip is still there. The cylinder needs work. Re: "top end rebuild kit"
Thanks swimmingfree.
I haven't looked at the piston yet. Guess maybe I'd better look before I buy!

"top end rebuild kit"
Lost all my compression on my Saturday ride. Looking to buy kit from VTCycles (http://www.vtcycles.com/vtc_plugins/e10 ... ct=1&cat=7). I'll grab another jet for the carb as well.
Looking for other opinions, advice on anything you would do to your scoot if you were making this repair.

advice for new project bike
Been thinking about moving up to 80 cc or 125 cc and thinking to stick with the elites. What's some pros or cons to 80 cc and 125cc? What's a good price running or not running on CL? If bike isn't running, what's some things to look for? I've been looking at an 84 elite 80cc not running. Anything sp...

87 se50 carb clean questions
I've followed the carb picture cleaning guide. It talks about 2 little holes often missed. The one on the side is patent. The one next to the where the emulsion tube goes seems to be blocked. It's at about 1:00 in the picture. Spray carb cleanear hasn't helped so I'm going to do the carb dip. The gu...

Re: Want to learn how the scoot works.
Thought elite so it's like my scoot. If I get the basics, then I should be able to understand other motors.
