Re: Looking for 70cc polini big bore advice
when you change your oil mix ratio you either lean it out or rich it up.. So if you do not want to do that you would either up jet or down jet to compensates

Re: Rpm drops with speed increase.
i like to run a 1000 center.. only because i have tried other spring sizes and i think that the 1000 put's the least strain on my drive train and provides the best performance... with my set-up

Re: Rpm drops with speed increase.
i agree, and disagree... only due to the fact that when you max out your variator and the clutch is too hard to open it will strain your engine and cause the rpm's to lower with the strain of the clutch.. my cousin had this same issue... the scooter was a rocket, up untill the variator maxed out and...

Re: Rpm drops with speed increase.
i have noticed that too stiff a center spring and you'll loose rpm.. the variator and rear clutch timing have to be pretty precise.. if the center spring is too stiff i strains the engine and will cause it not to "rev" up

Re: Looking for 70cc polini big bore advice
so when your mixing 32:1 your gonna go up on jet size... or if your running 50:1 your going down on jet size to compensate for the lack of or excess of fuel..

Re: Looking for 70cc polini big bore advice
If you richen the pre-mix ratio (20:1 as opposed to 30:1) there is more oil and less fuel in the same volume of liquid, which effectively leans the air-fuel ratio. And this fact gives the clever tuner one more tool to use when the correct jet is not available or when none of the standard jets are ex...

Re: Looking for 70cc polini big bore advice
well i have been on vacation.. when i get back home i'll take some photo's of the intake mod.. it's very simple.. if your running an oil injection pump "if you don't have a port in your carb" you'll need to tap a second hole and screw in a second fitting.. like i said when i get back i'll ...

Re: need help on jetting start point.
if you run it too rich will that cause it to run hot? or maybe too much oil? i know too much oil will cause it to bog down at higher rpms?

Re: Looking for 70cc polini big bore advice
and if it has the stock carb.. i'd probably go with a b9hs i would buy a bigger carb though, the pilot jet in your stock carb is migty small for that cylinder and you may risk seizure when you let off the throttle after a long wot. run!
