What was the compression at on your 50mm ........to high of a compression and pump gas is a deadly combo :nervous: compression was around the 130's, and i always ran 93 for that reason. gonna pull it apart today to see what happened, i do know the piston hit the plug.. the only thing i changed was ...

I blew my 50mm bbk last night after a long WOT run, then went to cruzing speed. never looked at the temp gauge till it was to late. oops.... hey you wanna be lawn mower mechanic dont start talking trash when you dont even know the story, the ports did get chamfered before install... like usual bear doesnt have a clue on the answer so he has to raise his low self-esteem by bashing on something he has no clue of what the story is.... maybe...

does any one know what the port timing should be for the 44mm bbk on a AF05. i think the kit is crap. transfer ports only open like 1/8 inch. the boost port cut is all jacked up one side is bigger than the other. directions say run 2 head gaskets, but then compression is only 90. when kit was instal...

ive had the same problem with 50mm bbk, and have done 3 other 50mm kits with no problem, what ive came up with is how square the cylinder is on the block and tolerances in the pipes.. tryed permatex, layering gaskets, all failed over time.. so far best result is the thickest gasket you can find mine...
