Right,but the first few threads are gone. So will it hurt to go to 6 x 105. There is plenty good threads after first few.

Hello guys. I was taking my stock cylinder off when I saw the first few threads stayed in bolt. :crazy: :crazy: I am installing a 50mm BBK on it that uses stock headbolt. Should I take time to helicoil or just get a bolt a 1/4 to 3/8 inch longer just so I can get to good threads. There are plenty go...

Thanks again guys...I am by know means a professional, I would say handy but no professional!! LOL. I think I will try some gasket remover first...let it sit over night and see how it looks or how easy itcomes off the next day. I have my old piston, head, and cylinder off now for sale on here and on...

Also I knew of areosol gasket removers. Could i spray the gasket and simply wipe it off with a rag??

Does it matter how flat I get the washer? As long as there is a washer left? I might try the metal washer but while I got it cracked open might as well give the sanding a try. Thx guys!
