New gears
I installed 9:1 gears on my 94 elite s. I just took the scoot out for a test drive and brought it back in the garage. The wheel was spinning alot more free before the test drive. I have read similar post about sanding down the nylon washer. Is this the sympton people are talking about? Feels like th...

Starter 1994 honda elite
Is it going to hurt anything if I leave the starter out of the moped if all I use is the kickstart? I just get annoyed changing my weights all the time and the stupid starter falling out everytime. Thx

Re: Unrestricted elite s with new gears and variator
Thank you Wheel man and I am sorry for being vague in my descriptions I will try to be more clear. I did check the variator on the stand probably stupid idea there. I will just color a solid one inch square with marker from top down and see where the rub point is. Also I have Stock carb setup. Nothi...

Re: Unrestricted elite s with new gears and variator
Thank you...I guess I will by a roller kit then! It screams to 16 to 17 mph then its a slow ascend to 36 or so. Is that restriction the black space between the carb and manifold? I took the cover off lasst night to watch the belt and it goes to about 3/16 from the top of the drive face. Is that enou...

Re: Unrestricted elite s with new gears and variator
I also just checked to see how high the belt was riding. Looks like from top of belt to drive face is a good 1/8 to 3/16 of a inch. Is that to much space? I guess I thought even if I need to tube my variator I would still see some results of the new 9:1 gears?[img0059][/img]

Re: Unrestricted elite s with new gears and variator
Thankyou very much Wheelman. I got everything installed and just took her out for a spin! Very confused though. There is absolutley no difference in top end and bottom end is the same. I was expecting to lose acceleration and gain top end but it was like I did nothing to the scoot at all...any ideas?

Unrestricted elite s with new gears and variator
I have a 94 Honda Elite S. I have a few mods as in the subject line and wondered what is better for oil. Should I put 2 cycle oil in the gas or ziptie the oil pump open?? Seems like if I zip tie it open it would foul more plugs. Not sure if I add it to tank. Any ideas?? Thanks guys. Oh yeah and if I...

Re: 86 Spree keeps dying - Help please
Check the fuel in it. If its old that could be one cause. Also mine was doing the same thing after I cleaned the carb even. I ended buying a brand new one on ebay for 30 bucks and havent had anymore problems since. Also check the air filter. If its been sitting probably wouldnt be a bad idea to drai...
