How about running with no gear oil? Was told it had it in after rebuild and was told by motor builder it was drained? Think 15 Mile's or so ridden by PO without gear oil and its shot?

yes, forgot to add i disconnected the complete rear pads/cable and put the wheel back on, same deal.
anyone have a link on the site what washer I should be looking at with the cover off?
I'm a novice but trying and while I'm at it, what thickness of washer should it be?

I bought this second hand with the motor being completely gone through. the gears are a 7:1 Gear Kit in which veedubh20 built the motor. It's quite possible, maybe I'll ask him before I learn how to rip it apart.

block spring was on the cable itself for some reason. I put it in its proper position. The cable situation/action is much better. However, the rear wheel seems a bit tougher to move by hand than the raced out 87. The rear wheel wont move on idle ...is this abnormal or should every model (Elite) have...
