Well I don't really have an answer to your problem but I do know the Honda spree does not have a cam cause it's a 2 stroke

Re: AF16E Spree swap, summer project!

Well my home made oil plug failed on me. I saw it slowly working its way out even with that big fender washer over it.

I guess the premix and heat combo made the JB weld fail. Looks like i'll be ordering a oil plug tonight before pressing on

Re: AF16E Spree swap, summer project!

Yeah i am, no worries.

I'm a little surprised at just how long it takes to cool completely. Close to an hour or so it seems

Re: AF16E Spree swap, summer project!

Is it better to let it get that hot for the heat cycles?
Does it break in the bore a bit more or should i just shut up and keep the shrouds on? :eyeroll:

Re: AF16E Spree swap, summer project!

Greetings: Exactly why are you heat-cycling sans shrouds? Maybe you plan to re-torque the headbolts/studs/nuts? Just install the shrouds finger-tight for your remaining heat cycles and check idle temps. I suspect a vacuum leak, even without shrouds 330 is a bit more than Flash sees at WOT. Yeah pre...

Re: AF16E Spree swap, summer project!

:2thumbs: , Look at my pic for the oil reserve tank, I put spacers for the tail light so it doesnt rub. Looks good too. P.S. The front forks look SWEET I was gonna make my own custom gas tank to fit the rear rack so i hacked up my oil tank to get the sensor out so i could use that as my reserve tan...

Re: '84 Spreedio not firing

I've heard its fine to run without them if your just doing heat cycles to let the bore warm up quicker.
Its not under any load nor is it recieving any throttle

Re: '84 Spreedio not firing

So onto heat cycles now i suppose. I wanna do 10 before i put load on it and have a quick question Should i do a few heat cycles then alter the idle speed slightly higher or lower for the next few, and so on? I know when you break it in to ride it you would vary the throttle so same concept here rig...

Re: '84 Spreedio not firing

Wheelman you are one mad genius sir  I adjusted it so i could get all the slack possible out of the cable. TJamz-not using the stock cable, got one that came with the carb kit from autotech355 I let it warm all the way up to see where it would level off and at idle it leveled off right at ...

Re: Bolt On Spree-Dio swap Shock Mount SLOPE DISTANCE TESTER

I think the way to do it would be to get an elite motor mount and go from there.

Then basically replicate the piece with a smaller bushing-bushing length up front

That looks great :2thumbs:
