My 87 SE50 can average around 60mpg. Mainly because I get yelled at for letting it run at night to warm up and it uses alot of fuel on the first bit of riding to warm up. Same as mine. Mine is bone stock with 10g rollers and aftermarket carb and I hit 35-37 normally. Some day's with perfect weather I can hit 40mph tops.

I did a little over 200 miles in a day on mine and it ran perfect the entire time besides needing a slight carb adjustment.
