Re: Abuse on a moped?
I've never had anything thrown at me. I get lots of thumbs up though. Sometimes the High school kids make fun of me because they have to walk like chumps. I did have a kid drive by me in the parking lot today when I had my plastics off checking my carb, and his buddy in the passenger seat told me t...

Re: Is this elite variated?
I did the Ruckus variator on my Aero, a bore kit from Daywot on Ebay, and a Leo Vince pipe, plus a slightly larger rear tire and hit 48mph on a slight down hill with a full tuck. I regularly cruize around at 40mph with no issue. Getting the carb tuned was the most tedious task since small increment...

Re: Totaled my bike today

Re: Reinstalling carb- where do the two hoses go on the bott
Irregardless of whether the fuel line reaches or not, you should replace it as those old line will get eaten on the inside by the rotten gas we have today and plug up your carb. I prefer clear lines for replacement as you can see what is going on inside them. Oh and next time take a picture before ...

Re: Reinstalling carb- where do the two hoses go on the bott
Ok, time to do some hose replacement. Wont cost you more then $3 from the local lawn supply like home depot etc. Go to Home depot or your local lawn store and buy a foot of 1/4 and 3/16 fuel line. 1/4 goes to the fuel hose and the 3/16 goes to the petcock :) Always best to just buy new since its che...

Re: Reinstalling carb- where do the two hoses go on the bott
Seriously no one know's what is what? Its simple so here you go, I have the same setup. Nice and easy. Everyone is making it overly complicated. Oil goes to.... well the oil pump. The petcock comes from the bottom nipple on the petcock. And the gasoline, which is the braided line, which I suggest yo...

Re: 1987 Honda SE50 Throttle Cable.
The Cables fit perfect, meaning the cap on the carb works perfect, the oil pump works perfect once you get it in the right position.eliteguy50 wrote:Taz has good parts.
Does the oil pump operate properly with this cable?

1987 Honda SE50 Throttle Cable.
So I recently had to replace my throttle cable as it got rusty and snagged in the line. After a few months of looking for a replacement, I finally found a solution. Its the SA50 cable. And it fits perfect without any modification!!! :) http://www.ebay.com/itm/370554480777?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&am...

1987 Honda SE50 Performance.
Looking to upgrade my Elite. It is the unrestricted model and I have been seeing posts of different gearing ratio's. Anyone got links or some for sale? I would like to hit 50mph but 45 would be nice too.

Thinking petcock is starting to go bad and leak again.
I replaced it last year and it fixed all of my idle and bogging issues. The issue was that the vac line was leaking and fuel was going from the petcock straight into the intake and flooding my bike. I know it was leaking due to sucking on the line and a mouth full of gas. Now I installed a clear vac...
