Here in USA, Honda never made a model called "Shadow" except in big motorcycles.
Your scooter is JDM. Sorry, can't help with info.
It would help if you will tell us the engine code.

Re: Need more air - jetting
Based on your description, and not knowing if the main jet and pilot are stock, but assuming they are close, I'd say that the pilot jet is plugged with varnished gas is the first choice. Second choice is that the air inlet in the throat of the carburetor that feeds the adjustment screw is plugged w...

Yes, that green wire is the main conductor for the grounding side of the system.Rideslikenacho wrote: ↑Sat Dec 24, 2022 2:40 pm
Only thing else I have noticed is bad green wiring (exposed wire) coming off negative battery terminal going back into wiring loom. Could this be it?

Re: loss of power after 10 miles
so I'm thinking its the petcock. there are bubbles in it and a fuel drip in the gas line. fingers crossed. I hope I can find 1 Very possible and likely that the petcock has suffered damage to the diaphragm due to age. This would explain slow fuel delivery because the petcock will not operate proper...

Re: Engine Low Power, Bogs Down When Accelerating Hard
Mr chungut240: I have taken your comment out of that thread, and given it a place of it's own in the appropriate category. Regardless of what you have done to the CVT, the issue of bogging and flooding is strictly a carburetor issue, imho. Diagnosing further is not possible from my location without...

Re: '85 Spree - Injecting gas into carb
My choice for cleaning carburetor jets is the "Motorcycle Jet Cleaner" set that has always done the job. See LINK below. It's same as using a piece of guitar string, etc. but it has a great selection of sizes and is meant for the job. Buying the Navi was a good call. It's probably the bes...

Re: '85 Spree - Injecting gas into carb
Is it that gas is leaking out of one of the chambers in the carb? I don't think you have "gas leaking out of one of the chambers". There's several possible issues present that can cause "hard-to-start" condition. 1. Bystarter is not working properly. If the bystarter is not retu...
