Re: 1986 Honda Spree NQ50 High Energy Ignition Coil HELP
a performance coil will not add any performance by it self but it will give you the ability to completely burn richer mixtures which would increase power, so hey re-jet as rich as you can run with stock coil/plug then pair that new coil with an E3 diamond fire plug and tell us what happens

Re: 1985 aero 50 mods
sounds good i am currently opening up the intake manifold and ran across this http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2957 , thats the sb50 intake+reeds vs. the spree but it looks much bigger than my aero's too, so will the sb50 intake and reeds fit my 85' aero and would that yield ...

Re: a custom made exaust
heres a link to a spree exhaust thread i think you should try this out http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewto ... ?f=8&t=946 if you notice he says it reduces lowend but i believe the more stock pipe you keep the less low end you lose

Re: 50cc 2 stroke spree
sounds like you had a minor seizure resulting in lost compression at the least you just need new rings but worst case would be a new piston/rings and a rebore/hone, first i would take the head off and cycle the motor over by hand and look for gouges/scrapes/marks in the cylinder then take the cylind...

Re: 1985 aero 50 mods
im interested in porting my stock cylinder further, so far i have only opened up the exhaust port following the wikispreedia article on porting the spree cylinder, but i want to open up the boost ports and the intake manifold/port in the case too. i also read an article about express/hobbits/ and th...

Re: a custom made exaust
personally i would leave the pipe as long as possible i.e. chop up the muffler since it will give the most usable powerband but it would be alittle less work if you just cut the pipe before the muffler so your muffler is reuseable p.s just think short= topend, long= lowend

Re: a custom made exaust
i highly recommend making a larger glass pack muffler like the one i made which will be unbelievably quiet BTW and will give better performance than a baffled muffler but you don't have to make yours out of a brake cleaner can :geekdance: also having the stinger start about 4 or 5 inches into the ex...

Re: a custom made exaust
nice pipe how well did it work on the razz? i guess i should come fourth and just say that i found the widest t and IMO strongest powerband when i kept all of the original pipe but if you want a purely topend pipe you can cut and weld up near the header or right before the muffler so that if you wan...

Re: 86 spree won't idle
sounds like a lean condition check for air leaks by making sure the carb and manifold is on tight then while running spray some wd40 around the seams and see if that makes it idle down and thats where your leak will be

Re: a custom made exaust
its kind of hard to see because my pipes been cut and welded so many times but there are 4 sections to the stock pipe it starts out small and progressively grows largerspewya wrote:what do you mean stepped or not ???
