Help with 86 Spree Please?
Alright, so about two months ago, my scooter broke down for what I thought was for good. From what I thought, the engine was completely seized and worthless. I was a member on the board but wasnt very confident in my ability to fix her so I gave up and put her in storage. But, I have recently retain...

Re: advice for new project bike
They are ugly. Less fun to mod. Something, to me, about cruising around on a well loved, easily maintained 50 just makes sense. But I have seen ones in running condition that went for $300-$450. Just depends where you are at and how bad the seller wants to get rid of it.

Inside continental US shipping costs?
I found a 96 elite for sale a few states away from me for $200. Said to be in good running order. Dont know authenticity of that statement, but it looks nice. What are the average shipping costs to ship a complete scoot? Would it be worth it to do so? Thanks!!!

Re: Imports
Thanks, that helps. I am not really to sure if I will import or not. I am just entertaining the thought right now. I just cant find exactly what I want around where I live or in a 200 mile radius for that matter, so I was thinking about importing so I can get exactly what I am looking for...

Imports
I am looking to import a Dio from Japan. Does anybody know of a company that imports to individuals rather than in bulk. Also, what are the customs stipulations, laws on imports and approximate prices? Thanks!!

My Spree also did this until it died all together. I cleaned the carb, put on new lines and the works. Dont know what it was to this day. Still have her in the basement waiting for a parts bike to show up around where I live. I swear, all there is around here is chinese crap. No Sprees and sure no e...

Re: Happy to be back on a scooter!!
My spree was pretty rough, I think I might just rebuild my new-to-me elite and throw in some decent mods. I am looking to get it to go a tad faster. I will definitely need to consult the board for some advice though. I am a beginner with scooter builds and mods.

Re: Variators
Alright, I will have to hit up Taz. If I could find a SA50 motor, would I be able to swap it in with everything being compatible or would it even be worth it. I am not very savvy in this department, but I am a quick learner and if it wouldn't be too difficult and could reap some good benefits, this ...

Re: Variators
Which means it is restricted, right?
Would it be possible to change it from a fixed gear transmission to a CVT?
