Variators
I just got a 1989 Elite and am wondering if they are variated? I live in a place where it is nothing but hills and it would really be nice if they are. If not, is there a way to put one on or what mods would be recommended for a good climb but also a decent top end?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Happy to be back on a scooter!!
A whole back, my spree completely crapped out on me so I was without a scooter for a few months but I finally found an elite that is going to replace it. I'm getting it for only $25. It is in fantastic running condition, catch is, the guy took it on himself to paint it so it's a little rough looking...

Re: HELP!!!!!!
Well I had that working, but on my way home today, it was running great then stopped altogether. I ended up having to push it two miles to my house. I have checked the plug wire, and I dont believe it is that this time. It wont even roll over at all now. Any thoughts?

Re: HELP!!!!!!
Yes Yes, I have been looking for a new plug wire. Would one off of an old elite 50 be compatible for a spree? My friend has an old one lying around that he bought for parts and what would be most convenient.

Re: HELP!!!!!!
Wheelman, I believe you were the closest. The plug wire had come off the top of the spark plug. I guess it just bounced off of there when I hit a bump or something. Thanks for all the help!

Re: HELP!!!!!!
As far as running lean, I have only ever used the oil reservoir and the auto injector. How would I go about running a compression test and what would I look for with the air filter?

HELP!!!!!!
My Spree has been running fantastic lately. And it has needed to because it is my only form of transportation seeing that my car is currently out of commission. However, today, my spree and I were trekking down the road to work and it sputtered and died. I was able to get it to run again after a goo...
