Second Elite SR

Well back in the summer, someone on craigslist was selling at 1993 Honda Elite SR for $200. Seeing as it was the same model as the one I already had I thought it would be cool to have two matching ones. It looked like it was missing parts in the pictures and he said it started but didn't run well. A...

Re: Motor running out of controls

Thanks for all the suggestion. This weekend I had some time to work on it and I took the whole carb apart cleaned it and checked and double checked to make sure it was put back together correctly. I have checked the slide and it is not sticking at all. Moves very freely. What I have noticed that tha...

Motor running out of controls

So I picked up a second 93 honda elite sr for $200 bucks. It wasn't running but I cleaned the carb and checked the petcock. I got it started but it is not running very well. When I give it full throttle and then let off and it stays open. Checked the cables and those are fine. I also have been adjus...

Re: New Honda Neon

That's very cool. Where'd you find that? I wonder if Honda made those for dealerships, or if a dealership actually had it made custom for their shop. I believe a lot of them were made. I have seen a couple here on there on the internetz and finally managed to buy one. They were actually made in Sou...

Re: New Elite SR

Greetings: I usually agree with veedubh20, but not on this. If you find a good AF16 block, it will cost a good bit of money. You already have a decent block. There's nothing much wrong with the 05, and plenty of mods available to make it a lusty 65cc. Mine was good for a GPS-verified 58.6 MPH in le...

Re: New Elite SR

Yes it is a great ped. Happy I mad the switch but now its time to go faster. Can you guys comment on a variator to get? I am thinking of just going with the ruckus variator. Along with that possibly the SEF ramp plate. Possibly some gears? Any ideas where I can find some of those. I was told 9:1 is ...

New Elite SR

I sold my 86 spree on friday and was planning on driving 2 hours north to pick up a 97 elite s when this 92 Elite SR SA50N II with 800 miles on it popped up on craigslist. Emailed the guy last night to see if it had a title. Luckily he emailed me back before I left for my road trip. Stopped to check...

Re: No spark.

Turns out that when we were checking the starter, a ground wire came loose. Looks like the previous owner rigged it up with electrical tape. Reground the wire and now will begin breaking in the BBK.

Thanks for the suggestions.

No spark.

About a month ago I put in a big bore kit. First time it fired right up and idled fine. Turned it off and since then I haven't been able to start it. Originally my starter motor didn't seem to have enough power to turn it over but I believe that was caused by my kick starter gears being in the way. ...

BBK won't start

Installed my 48mm bbk yesterday in my 86 spree and got it started and had it idling fine. Then I turned it off and can't get it to start now. The battery seemed dead so I charged that and it still wont start. Any suggestions? I followed all the instructions for the install and have the oil mix right.
