Re: questions on a highly reliable performance set up.
Thanks! Looks like he even includes a new main jet. I assume its a larger one. looks like the quickest way to get it up and running. hunting these old parts or used engines is not getting any easier.

questions on a highly reliable performance set up.
I have an 87 elite in need of a top end. I would order stock honda parts but they seem to be as much or more expensive than aftermarket. Red Eft looks to have a good deal on a Malossi kit and I think I'll go with that. Will that kit perform with stock exhaust at least as good as stock bore? For this...

Re: good scooter for 100 lb girl?
Maybe I should re-phrase my question, whats a good lightweight scooter that can cruise comfortably at 55. Drum brakes are in the ch150 and they stop just fine. I occasionally ride the thing and im 200 lbs and on occasion have 30 pounds of books. I think it stops pretty quick with me on it. Thats fro...

good scooter for 100 lb girl?
My gf has currently an 87 aero 50 which runs really well and is pretty quick with her on it. I am deep into a 150 build in hopes to have a little more reach outside of the 35 mph zones. I was wondering if anyone thinks a DIO motor swap with some slight mods could put her at a 55 mph cruising speed, ...

ch150 carburetor question
I just acquired a kind of basket case ch150 and I want to build a skelly out of it. I am in the process of rebuilding the carburetor and this model has an air cut-off valve. I didnt get the valve while it was put together so I am not sure if there are internals that I am missing. Is anyone familiar ...

My girlfriend lost her key to her 87 aero 50. Will any 87 aero key fit it? or are they individualized keys?

Re: daywot variator problems
well the problems werent with the actual variator, they were with my understanding of how it was put together. I only said daywot so that people knew which one I was talking about directly. I had no problem with daywot himself. Pretty fast shipping even from Hawaii.

ok, I will read that to get a better idea. I messaged the seller of this and he said it wont fit an aero. But it seems from what I am reading that it should fit. http://r.ebay.com/AId9AO

Re: low compression=?
I did it with the throttle wide open and i cranked it quite a bit and ran multiple tests. Tomorrow I am going to check all the connections on the guage to see if anything was loose.

low compression=?
So my aero tested out to be 50 psi compression. Much lower than what it should be, but that scooter still runs essentially fine. Starts easy and runs up to 38 pretty easy. With compression that low would I still be seing the scooter run that well or is my compression gauge lying to me.

Re: top speed question.
well It seems I found out exactly what my problem is. I did a compression test and what I got was 50 psi. That would make sense as to why running without a proper airbox didnt burn it up, because its already been burned up. Guess that means a BBK is headed this way.
