slowspree wrote:Could not having a fuel petcock affect mpg's?
Yes.... due to gravity all of your fuel will drip down the fuel line into the carb and fill the bowl then slowly drip out the overflow. Unless you have a petcock valve.

under the speedo cover there is a plastic ring that holds a thermal flasher. It looks like a 2" canister with a metal ring around the top. The bottom side of that canister is where the 3 wire plug connects to. Someone could have salvaged yours because they are like $70 new from Honda. If you ha...

run open carb, suck on the air hose so the petcock opens and floods your bowl with fuel. Then drain your carb using the drain screw. Now flood the bowl again. Since you now have fresh fuel in the system and hopefully no airbubbles you should be good. Is the switch on Run and key on... well obviously...

Okay, finally got the ebay speed pipe installed

(click the thumbnail for a full size image... just like *) http://xs115.xs.to/xs115/07191/speedpipe001.jpg.xs.jpg This is the view, the speed pipe is on the bottom. The one my SE50 came with is on top. The biggest difference is the head pipe. There is also a minor difference that prevented me from d...

Then just yesterday I bid on a pipe on Ebay that said it was also from an 87 SE50 but looks like the pipe on the bottom. http://c...
