Re: honda elite e restricted
Also you might want to replace your drive belt and clean out your old exhaust pipe (I chemically cleaned it with lye, other people swear by bbq fire, either way be safe) those are just tips to get it running closer to how its supposed to.

Re: honda elite e restricted
I have come to realize (I've tinkered extensively on mine) that the restrictions are as follows: -porting/compression are slightly lower -the exhaust pipe is restrictive (if you notice when you are going full out and you notice the machine pulling off the power slightly) -airbox What I've done to re...

SB50p (Elite E) murdered left crank!!!
Ok so I was riding today and I found that my whole drive face assembly had come loose resulting in a huge loss of power. I opened up the assembly and tried to use my buddy's impact wrench to pull off the nut. The nut had come loose to let the drive face be very loose, but it now wouldn't move. After...

Re: FIRST ANNUAL FLORIDA EPICON TOUR 2011
Ok I've read the update on the ruckus site, looks like they changed the rally for May 12-20th, 2012. I am SO game for that, seeing that may 12th happens to be move-out day at Georgia Southern. Count me in for the whole thing, can't wait

New air filter??
Ok so I've got an Elite E and soon I will be putting Taz's BBK in it, (probably with a machined head for greater compression) and I want to rip off the stock airbox and put on something that will let more air through. I understand that there are lots of aftermarket air filters that are on the cheap ...

Re: Exhaust drilling?
I soaked it in lye (draino on crack) and some buildups did exit the pipe, however I have read that people have done both and both have removed carbon on the same pipe, so I think I will try fire as well.

Re: Exhaust drilling?
Ok ok all very good advice, thats why I'm posting on my favorite forum... What is the ideal milling to get to a compression of about 130? From what I understand, the stock compression for my bike is supposed to be about 70, so we are talking massive increases. Also, does anyone think that putting a ...

Re: Exhaust drilling?
Alright so you're saying I shouldn't go past .025 or even .020? That's why I mentioned octane booster, its a really cheap way to fake nice gas and I was wondering if that is at all accepted when tinkering with lil old 2 stroke scooters. I guess I will be using the electric start only to supplement t...

Re: Exhaust drilling?
Ok yeah that didn't fully register at first, I do plan on having the head coming with the kit machined around 0.30 to increase compression. I already use premium, its so danggg cheap for a bike with a 1-gallon gas tank :). Also, would it be prudent to also start adding a dollop of octane booster to ...

Exhaust drilling?
I am wondering if I drill 1 or 2 holes in my exhaust pipe would it be harmful, helpful, or both?? I've got a 1989 Elite E and (as you know by now) am trying to get more performance from it. I am thinking of either sticking a long drill bit into the end of the pipe and go through a good section that ...
