Re: Spree Side Stand Design....Complete

The stand is extremely sturdy. It splits the load between both of the foot board supports. The bolts can be a little larger if you want, those were just some i had laying around the shop to show how it works. I don't have an 89-01 elite frame to work from. I could fab one up pretty quickly if I knew...

Re: Spree Side Stand Design....Complete

Probably not. I personally think it needs a bigger pad on the bottom too.

In order to make the kick down process easier, I'll be welding on a tab that will stick out a little past the floor board....

Something like in this pic.....

Spree Side Stand Design....Complete

I finally got around to designing a side stand for the Spree. I started out with a universal kickstand from monsterscooterparts.com, and went from there. The design I came up with utilizes holes that are already in the floorboard supports. I think it came out really good. Let me know what you guys t...

Re: Footpegs For A Spree ???

Have Rich weld you up a sidestand mount and loose the center......I'm thinking about a sidestand for Get Bent I don't think you'll ever get SIX away from that modified center stand. I did get my universal side stand in the mail a few days ago, I'll probably start working on a design for tha...

Re: Best Spree Stand Ever .

I put the bump stop for the center stand on top of your welding table. It's a little rubber piece that fits in the center stand to prevent it from having metal to metal contact with the crank case. Also, thanks to Don (hopefully soon to be member) for the photos. Good times SIX. Thanks for having us...

Re: Best Spree Stand Ever .

Holy s*** SIX, it looks factory after the paint job!! I think we'll need a few more beers to figure out exactly how that spree shock mount is supposed to work. I'm so stoked that it came out so well! Those foot pegs look sick as well! I'm sure we have many more good ideas and good beers ahead of us.

Re: Footpegs For A Spree ???

Probabably more for experimentation than transportation.

I for one could care less how high the drunk chick from the bar has to lift her legs, as long as I don't scrape going around corners.

Welds are looking a lot better. :2thumbs:

Re: Low compression after rebuild.

The 83'-84' Aeros are notoriously hard to find parts for. If this was not a OEM piston from Honda, I'd be forced to have some reservations about it's dimensions. Who honed the cylinder? If it was you, what type of honing device did you use? Starting at the cheapest thing first, did you replace all t...
