Yup, still have the parts. They are for sale. The engine did run a couple of years ago. It has been under a carport, in dry storage until I tore it down last month. I tossed out the frame, seat, most plastics as they were all very nasty or ripped up. I kept most all else including the engine assy. w...

Elite 80???
I just tore down what I think is an Elite 80 and I have a pile of parts that I want to get rid of {sell or trade??} including the engine.
The vin # is JH2HF0300FS008066.
Can anyone ID this bike by vin?
Thanks--eddie--spree13

Snow???
We had an 1/8th of an inch back in '89. It even stayed on the ground for nearly 24 hours!! Ocala FL is as far north as I've ever lived {or care to either}, snow to me is a highly overrated thing. Spent 2 Christmases up north, 1 in NJ and 1 in Dayton OH & got LOTS of snow both times. Af...

$$$
Paid $250 for a perfect running 84. Just added a new battery, stripped the bent & busted signal lamps off and I have a great pit bike for the races. Took off the lamps so I won't be tempted to street ride this thing. WWAAAYYY too slow to ride on the streets around here!! 8O Paid $125, $170 for t...

Elite 80?
Recently got an {I think} Elite 80 thrown in on a deal for a rebuilable Spree. The Elite is not worth saving but does have some good parts. Starter is good and the engine did run but clutch was stuck on go. I this thing worth parting out? Or should I just trash it? I'm only interested in Sprees.

Update on '85 Spree fix-up
Got the 85 torn down as far as it needs, the motor and trans are on the bench, here's what I found. Bypassing oil inj., going with premix. Air box lid full of holes. good one coming from Paul. Carb to air box boot missing. Ditto Paul. Vacuum fuel valve missing. Again Paul. Air filter element missing...

diff oil
I found my own official answer tonight. From the Honda NQ50 shop manual on CD. 10W40 oil, fill to bottom edge of the oil level check hole. Glad I got this CD with the scooter!

Diff oil change
While I have the engine assy. out of my '85 Spree I went ahead and drained the rather small amount of gear lube out of the diff. YUCK! It is stinky and nasty. I used the search feature but still a little unclear, should I flush now especially since it's so easy? What can I safely use as a flush? I h...

Spree redo!
Noiseguy, you're right, there are more pressing things on this Spree. After a fairly deep teardown I have found, no air filter element, holes drilled on the top and a non stock ill fitting carb to airbox connector. No wonder this thing idled real fast! The starter is toast, stinks like it's burned u...

spree pre-mix
I just finished pulling the Spree apart, {wish me luck} and here is what I found. The oil hoses were in horrible shape, the oil tank was ok, and the oil pump was loose as a goose, leaking everywhere. It still seemed to be functioning although. The previous owner also had gas/oil of unknown % in the ...
