Re: double carburetor idea?
interesting point, but it wouldnt be to difficult for me to grind and aluminum piece for the manifold, i have a nice chunk that would work great. and i have oodles of throttle cables "split for oil injections" so if i could just run another split cable to the current split one, i would hav...

alright homies, i got a terrific idea, i have like 4 or so carburetors lying around, plus the one on my honda urban express nu 50, here's my idea, take the stock intake manifold off, adapt a custom made aluminium one, and attatch 2 carburetors to it! sounds like a good idea! and i might even port th...

Re: This is how it's done my children.
I hope this was meant to be a joke. There is no way this piece of $hit runs or moves. The front pulley is a clutch mounted backwards  with no nut to hold it in place. The clutch pucks are just flinging around all over the place, with no bell to keep them from flying off. the clutch pads s...

ever riden into a swarm of bees?
well, i have. It happened yesterday, i was coming down a hill on a gravel road and all the sudden i saw a huge cloud of bees. I couldn't tell what they were at first but it felt like somebody was throwing gravel at me, but i was wearing a t-shirt, no helmet, and shorts! but i did not get a single st...

Re: Engine Transplant
Greetings: Except for color and Bold New Graphics, the SA50 frame and hardware didn't change much. You could check the VIN - someone here has the Secret Decoder Ring . Another way to distinguish a '93 from a '94 is to check the underseat bin for the spark plug access. It's riveted shut on my 2001, ...

Re: Engine Transplate
Greetings: IF the SA50 is a 1990-1993, it should be exactly the same. If the SA is a 1994-1999, there may be some minor bracket bushing diameter issues fixed by pounding in ones with the matching diameter. You may however be subjected to some Forum derision if you're installing an '87 SE/05 engine ...

what performance options do i have?
alright, let me start off by saying that i have a 1987 elite that was restricted, but i swapped the roller ramp plate, and muffler from a newer unrestricted elite, so i have a couple of questions as to performance, seeing how i unrestricted my elite, and now has a easy breathing air cleaner, i shoul...

Re: elite goes 27mph
It is in the diameter of the head pipe itself. Skinny pipe restricted fat pipe unrestricted. Evil where's the link? well either way i took the muffler off of the same moped that i got the ramp plate from, now it tops out at 35 mph, that's iffy though, usually 33 or 34 mph, i'm pretty happy with thi...
