Re: trouble getting over 27 mph. help please

Boy oh boy, were getting into all sorts of possibilities. Here's one, you could check the filter in the gas tank and also the operation of the petcock. Sounds like the fuel is at issue here :imo: I'm sure we can come up with more than that but you have your hands full already. Good Luck and ...

Re: SA50 Elite gear case problem?

The dark thick oil means no one changed that oil out in a long time. That's why that bearing spun.your going to have to notch the bearing seat on the outer gear cover before you press in a new bearing or if its to worn out, your going to have to jb weld that bearing in or get a sleave pressed in as ...

Re: AF16 mods

What is this engine going on?? Taz Hey Taz, I have a '01 SA50 that I am swapping out the 66cc tai bore with. I think it's about to go, but the new motor is a Malossi stock crank and Malossi cast iron 47mm I bought from our resident Malossi Dealer, Keith. Here is the page for anyone to make a good d...

SA50 Elite gear case problem?

Just want to ask if anyone has had this problem before? I drained the oil out of a af16 gear case, pulled the cover and I noticed this black soot inside mixed with the oil. When I tapped the drive shaft out of the cover, the bearing stayed on the shaft and it has some burn marks on the outside of th...

AF16 mods

Hey, I finally got around to this now that it's cooler out. I cleaned up these 2001 cases and did some boost port matching and polishing. Decided to waste the mounts and replace with new motor mounts. Hate when they go out on a new build! Show you how I change them out, not very hard to do. Getting ...

Re: 1989 Honda Elite LX Electrical Problems

Welcome.
Perhaps a wire is loose? A ground wire? Try giving it a thorough inspection.
Start with the least expensive items. It could very well be an ignition or kill-switch, but I would rule out other possibilities first.
Good Luck and Happy Trails!

Re: 89 Elite R - my first build

Nice job getting it buttoned up! I like it! Where did you get the carb. from and what is the brand name and size? You are correct about the brass fitting on the carb. and the nipple on the manifold is for the vacuum line. Just suck lightly on one of the lines, when gas comes out of the other line th...

Re: stock throttle cable stuck in cap????

My experience with the cap is that it is a one time "snap-in" fitting. Once it is installed on the new cable it does not come off. That is my experience. You only get one by ordering a new complete carburetor, or a new throttle cable, that is to the best of my knowledge. Happy Trai...

Re: SA50 throttle cable changes?

Does anyone know why the '94 sa50 (88-94) uses a different throttle cable from the '01 sa50 ('95-01)? '94 sa50 part number: 17920-GS7-306 '01 sa50 part number: 17920-GS7-325 I think the"306" is the single cable that comes on the elite "s" The "325" is the split version...

Re: **clutch bell**

Hey. Moped Hospital has Kundo bell and I could be wrong but I believe they're out of stock. Is the ncy you are referring to from jiangwayne? I bought one from them but it ate up my pads quickly as it was coated on the inside with some kind of abrasive s#!t. It's cool now though, it's smooth again! A...
