i really only need a 7k tach because the honda gyro only makes 6k at top speed. but the weird thing is that its powerband is really broad for such a slow scooter. any where from 20-35 and acceleration is just crazy. top speed is 35 but you can sometimes get 40.

alrighty then. looks like i will be buying the kawasaki tach then.

by any chance would you know where to get a stage 6 digital tach. if not. what is a good digital tach with a fast refresh rate and is not going to break the bank?

thanks mouse! :D while i was at autozone. i figured i would start another project for my gyro. since the 84 gyro has a fuel gauge and the 85 and 86 doesnt, why not add one? i spent $40 total for the sender unit and the gauge. you can see on the gas tank where ther is supposed to be a gauge but honda...

so is it possible to use a motorcycle tachometer. i know drag specialty's make a mini motorcycle tach. still not sure if it would work with a scooter. also there are several tachs on ebay like a kawasaki tach that is for 2 stroke engines. i have also seen some ruckus owners hook up a tigershark tach...

so then, by definition, i would have to get a 2 stroke tachometer? i just dont get why you couldnt use like a sunpro mini tachometer for a scooter.

does the gyros engine fire on each stroke. i really want to hook up an analog tachometer but i dont know how to.

what type of engine does the american gyro s have? Ive never done a big bore swap before so when you increase the bore size, does that mean i have to re-jet my carb or something?

any suggestions on gauges. i would like to get a traditional analog gauge. most gauges say they work with 4,6, or 8 cylinder engines. will those work with scooters too?
