Re: Windshield?
You can certainly install an aftermarket windshield on your scooter. Stock or aftermarket, either way, are fairly easy to install. Some owners attempt to keep their bikes as stock as possible. A stock windshield will be virtually impossible to find if you go that route.

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
LOL... My wife asked what I was laughing about. I explained your response Bear and she said,"Why would anyone have that many scooters?" My response to her was simply... "Because he can"... She just doesn't get it!

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
Have to admit, there is a lot of utility with 'em. The rubber coating on mine is in great shape, but the bracket had rust, which I sanded and painted with aluminum rustoleum. I probably have more money in this little bike than I will ever see, but I tell the wife it is cheaper than buying a Porsche....

Re: Beautiful day for a ............................
With a 1986 Spree, I don't think I would ever be able to go on a group ride in my area, especially with the bigger scoots. Spree only goes around 30 mph or so. Do you guys cruise at a set speed?

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
Motormike, The basket is Honda OEM... I was able to get it off of fleabay a couple of years ago. Holds my cooler for 'pops' and beach towel while riding to the community pool during the summer. Also fits a bag of groceries from the store, too. My grown kids don't like how it looks, but it sure is ha...

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
I know I've never seen a factory floor mat. Obviously bolts down to the deck. I bet that is an option that most buyers passed on back in the day. thanks, now I have to look for one...

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
I think the back basket is enough for this spree. I would be afraid the front one would make the bike unstable if I put any weight in it while riding. What is this about a floor mat? I didn't know there was one Honda sold. Has to be rare, never seen one on flea-bay. I suppose you could use a piece o...

If you guys put something together in Michigan I'm in. Live in North Carolina but could get there. Would have to plan ahead, as I'm sure everybody would. I know when I lived in Mi there was a boatload of Sprees.

Re: Windshield installation 86 Spree
The shop I took it to had a $25 minimum, so he charged me $25. This wasn't the sprayed on process, but real chroming.
I like the look a lot better than silver paint. I liked how it looked on a new grey Honda Metropolitan's exhaust. Just gives a bit of detail.

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
Got the windshield installed... was able to get all new hardware at Fastenal for $4. Used Novus plastic polish from the Harley dealership to buff out scratches. Stuff works great!
Thanks for the help and advice.

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
Ok Mystic, I'm back and was able to take a picture of the bracket on the windshield... does this look like yours?
If the image doesn't appear than uploading isn't as easy as I thought!

Re: Factory 1986 spree windshield
I'm out of town on business, will take pictures of the brackets and post over the weekend. I think they look different than those in you pics that are posted. Thanks for the feedback.
