Re: New info on ethanol as a fuel.
I agree with all of the above, but the corn used for ethanol production is also recycled into livestock feed, so it doesn`t go to waste. Sweet horse feed, for one, is made from dried distiller`s grain. Regardless, it is another government boondoggle on the American public. Seems like that`s all the...

You mean `94 and newer, right?devenex wrote:If its a '96 or newer elite you can get the speeds you're looking for with just a aftermarket variator and swapping to 9:1 gears.
If its older, then 50mph becomes more complicated.

Re: Oil tank to axillary gas tank conversion
Yeah, I had to run the gas line between the gas and oil tank to get the right fall for both hoses. Liquids don`t like to run up hill much. The proof is in the pudding. I hope to have it together in the next few weeks. Chickens hatching and gardens to plant and acres to mow have taken away my fun tim...

Re: Oil tank to axillary gas tank conversion
The line coming from the gas tank has a straight shot to the carb, with a T tapped into it. The oil tank line goes from the tank to the petcock, petcock to the T. All fuel has a shut off, the gas diaphragm operated, and the auxiliary manual. The feed side of the petcock is kinda hard to see, especia...

Re: Oil tank to axillary gas tank conversion
Petcock is on, custom bracket made, and everything is all plumbed in. It was kinda tricky making sure that all hoses had a postitve drain, but I got it after a lot of trial and error.
I doubt it`ll get much use, but the tank was there, so why not use it?

Got the same thing on mine. It`s an overflow for something (?). I just ran a hose off of it like I did the float bowl drain.

Re: Bystarter Clamp
They are still available from Honda. PLATE, SET 16186-GJ2-004 $3.98 Why would you fab a $4 part? When I don`t feel like waiting for it to show up in the mail and when I know it would take me a total of 15 minutes to make one. Otherwise, if I were doing a complete build and would add it to a list of...

Same here, but I only have to hit the reload button once. I`m sure the Powers that Be will straighten it out soon.

Re: time for a new belt but what the ?h?e?l?l????
Mystic, I checked with my buddy, and he confirmend that the belt is 10mm wide. Service limit, according to the Gods of Honda, is 10.4, so that belt is too skinny from the get-go.
